Freak's Amour One for Juanita

Performed by Stuart Werner except The R Train, performed with Dave Wondrich . Everything was recorded on a Fostex x-15 multitracker. You Can, Halloween, 2wtc68dwr, One For Juanita are all voice samples on a Casio SK-1 sampling keyboard . The backwards sounds came from the first Freak’s Amour album, Regressive Music for Mind and Body. Pray Lude and Betta Metta were created with voice, glass clanking and thumb tacks. Feel it, Man! and Feel it, Woman! are two guitars recorded in stereo through a stereo flange, fuzz box and a pitch shifter. The feedback was achieved by a walkman headset from a tape deck to the guitar. The R Train is a sample of a musette, a bass , an Arabic drum, and guitar. Time is Relative is a guitar sampled and converted into a loop, with various guitar overdubs and a sample of a cardboard box. What Do You Want, Giving Blood and Returning Blood were created by sampling the same sound repeatedly. Giving Blood is a true story. Jessie Helms’ Orgasm is fiction. Glass and Driven are samples of found objects, guitar and loops. ©1998 Nart Products/Stuart Werner |
